His popularity surged after the invasion. But it is flagging now as the cracks between him and the army, as well as him and the regional leaders (as well as the mayor of Kyiv) become evident. In fact, The Times just ran a long feature on how he is increasingly seen as autocratic and nondemocratic. [/quote]
