Travel sports (baseball and football) killed my older sister's marriage. It was obviously a symptom of a much bigger problem like their lack of communication and willingness to compromise, but it all leads back to the sports. They divorced and the kids lived with their dad for majority of time. They ended up playing some in college but that was the end of it. He later admitted staying he regretted how much time/money was wasted traveling. It was not worth their marriage.

I’m sure you’re not the first one.  Our older DS did travel baseball for a few years then he got burned out.  He barely talks about baseball anymore but he’s found some other great hobbies that he loves.  It’s too much, but there are lots of crazy parents out there that get obsessed with them.[/quote]
