I wonder if the roles had been reversed and she had got the ball and then the dad had got in her face demanding the ball, what would have been the reaction from the public? I think he would have been called a bully and an abuser.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:The Phillies' Karen is a victim of misogyny. That ball landed at her feet or seat next to her, 40 yr old Dad sprints 15 seats over, grabs it while she's bent over scrambling for it, and triumphantly trots back 15 seats carrying ball over his head to hand to his roughly 12 yr old child.
This is not the victory for the poor kid (tween), that it is being portrayed as. Dad should be ashamed for running to get into a scrape on the ground with an older woman.
I agree. I watched that video over and over, trying to determine who was in the wrong and it's pretty clear - the DAD! What he did was so incredibly obnoxious. Now, I won't deny that the woman looked pretty annoying too, but this situation wasn't her fault.
Okay, after hearing all the hubbub about this, I finally watched the video, and while I think the lady should have let it go, I thought the dad was kind of a douche to get up in her space like that. I feel bad for her.

Is this an unpopular opinion?
I'd be surprised if most people have any feelings about drag performers other than vague confusion. They're not really pop culture. Fringe culture.
They’re not fringe anymore. Maybe 30 years ago.
Outside of DC they are fringe. Even in DC..
I adore drag queens and they are not fringe here in NYC.

Yes! Who tf is Jen Hatmaker and why are people constantly posting about her?

Travel sports (baseball and football) killed my older sister's marriage. It was obviously a symptom of a much bigger problem like their lack of communication and willingness to compromise, but it all leads back to the sports. They divorced and the kids lived with their dad for majority of time. They ended up playing some in college but that was the end of it. He later admitted staying he regretted how much time/money was wasted traveling. It was not worth their marriage.
My DH and I decided against allowing our kids on any traveling teams. It's not worth the headache for us
lol thanks for the laughAnonymous wrote:MMMbop is actually a great pop song.
