Definitely feel bad for the students and parents who are the receiving end of that bad news.

From the various legal filings, it looks like the annual rent for the building that WSS was contracted to pay (never mind that they didn't pay it!) was nearly $30 million.  With such a large fixed cost, the economics of the school were shaky at best even if they had been able to get close to full enrollment.  I suspect that will be the hurdle for anyone contemplating taking it over - at least to use as a school.  This entire project / scheme was classic Whittle - huge expenditures and lavishly appointed facilities without much regard for their economic viability.[/quote]
