You just don't want to admit that we responded appropriately, do you?
I dont think 80% of the country should be held hostage for something that only hits people with multiple unhealthy conditions those 20% should stay home and let the rest of us function normally
This is false. Most of the deaths are of people who some additional conditions, but there are many who have dropped dead from coronavirus related strokes, and others who have suffered permanent lung damage. We really don't know enough about this for one to make blanket statements like this.
once again seems like all of you are hell bent on finding the exceptions to the rule we all saw the data in the NYT and less than 6% of the hospitalizations were otherwise healthy prior. And again that's not 6% of the population. 80% of healthy adults 1 or less chronic conditions has extremely minimal risk of major complications period end of story.
Here's a study: https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/26/8/20-0679_article "We estimated that 45.4% of US adults, with a wide range across age groups and states, might be at increased risks for complications from COVID-19 because of existing chronic conditions."
yup I quoted that same article 2 or more is 18.7 % which I round to 20% it's towards the bottom and if you look at the NYT it's people with at least 2 who are getting hit again these people are already unhealthy makes sense
Close to half the US population is at increased risk of complications. Fine, that doesn't bother you. It bothers most people. You can minimize it all you want, it won't stop bothering most people.
maybe this will cause more people to actually care about their health
Yes, maybe we can stop growing older. And people can put more effort into not getting auto-immune diseases and hereditary cancers. You’re an idiot. An inhumane idiot.
