So we are to believe that this is a 36 page thread because some are mad that Trump was mean? What is the difference between this topic and literally every other day? The issue is that you dont want your schools and neighborhoods going to the crapper. Its okay to admit.
You are projecting, MAGA trash!! And, phew! Finally! It took 36 pages for you to realize that we are outraged by Trump’s vindictiveness, not the immigrants. Not the brightest bunch, are you?
Riiiiight. If the idea of sending these immigrants to sanctuary cities had come from the Democrats, you’d be falling all over yourselves to show your approval. The only reason you’re outraged (as usual) is because your favorite person to hate suggested it. Get real. We see straight through your faux outrage. -DP
Why do you think Trump wants to send them?
Because there’s no more room at the border and because Democrats have made it clear they will happily take them. Win-win. Right?
This is exactly it. The detention centers are full - and apparently dangerous, based on what we've read, correct? So it's best to process them quickly and get them settled somewhere. California is the best option, as it's large enough to absorb more people. Add to that its liberal outlook, and it is indeed a win-win. The "flyover states," as they're called on these threads, aren't as hospitable. Isn't that the thinking? That's Trump country, right? So why would they be sent there? Granted there's probably more space for them there, but since they're not as "urban" as the coasts, there are not enough social programs to assist them. But this has ALWAYS been the case. People go where there are jobs, a strong tax base, and social welfare programs.
Do you know anything about immigrants? The Midwest is where many find jobs. I bet the farmers are getting buses ready for a pick up.
For example, an Ohio farmer drove down with a van to bring back workers: “Osiel ended up in Ohio by following a generation of indigenous Guatemalans, who have been the backbone of Case Farms’ workforce since 1989, when a manager drove a van down to the orange groves and tomato fields around Indiantown, Florida, and came back with the company’s first load of Mayan refugees.” https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/05/08/exploitation-and-abuse-at-the-chicken-plant
the title for those too lazy to read - Exploitation and Abuse at the Chicken Plant Case Farms built its business by recruiting immigrant workers from Guatemala, who endure conditions few Americans would put up with.
