Excellent article!

Love that it points out the "likability" factor---that there are whites, blacks and latinos are also rated low in this, just like some asians.  Given that ~30% of Harvards fall 2023 class will be Asian, there are plenty who scored high enough in ALL categories to gain admission.  So perhaps it is time that those complaining recognize the reason they got rejected is 1) 95%+ of applicants got rejected, it's not personal, it's happening to most applicants and 2) maybe you just don't have the "it factor" that Harvard is looking for that distinguishes those admitted from those who aren't---it's not just about test scores....it's also about recommendations and other stuff.

Not having the "IT Factor" is very likely---not everyone who gets a 1600 and 4.0UW will have it.  In fact, kids who are driven just to get top scores may have lost the ability to be intellectually curious along the way and to take risks.  Those that have it will shine thru, no matter what their "scores"  That is who Harvard wants (and most T20s).
