But that 15-year-old (or even 17-year-old, which Virginia Giuffre was) does not have the mental or emotional maturity to weigh "wow, this billionaire/Prince Andrew likes my body" against "wow, this billionaire/Prince Andrew just wants a trafficked sex slave they can use and discard."

They merely pointed out that it is not pedophilia to be attracted to sexually mature teenaged bodies, as fact you and others have conceded.

Sorry, but no way. That former prosecutor only looks at the male perspective. "I can certainly see a beautiful young sexual mature body and see the appeal. And I know it’s not sickness for other adults to feel the same." Then the former prosecutor says she doesn't get it... but only because she's a sapiosexual and for her it's not just about physicality--but as this quote shows, she accepts that some men are all about the physicality.

She never, ever said that. Not even a little bit.

She said pedophilia is a specific paraphilia set forth in the DSM which is defined by a primary sexual attraction to VERY young children, children who exhibit ZERO sexual maturity.

The attraction of adult men and adult women to sexually mature teenaged bodies is not a mental disorder of any kind whatsoever.

Acting on that attraction is an entirely different thing, and she spoke strongly against trafficking which she has prosecuted for pity’s sake.

You can stamp your feet and get red in the face all you want, but it doesn’t change biology or psychology or the law.

That is exactly what she said. Go back and read.  She posted a very long defense of age gaps, citing her own made-up historical data and Celine Dion as examples.  Coming from a former prosecutor, it’s unsettling to read “yeah, trafficking is bad and older creeps are gross, but also I think they have a valid point”.

If teenagers are sexually mature enough for adult men to pair up with, then why are they not treated as adults in any other way?  Why aren’t they allowed to vote, carry arms, or buy liquor?  And on a related note, why are 30 year old Republican males referred to as “kids” the moment they do anything wrong?

We seem to be dealing with Schrodinger’s Adult here.
