That’s a lot of records wow
It’s amazing what a little recruiting can do!
Show us where OKM recruited. (Are you arguing that growing pool memberships is recruiting? OKM does not, and never had, a waitlist. It didn’t an HOA, and it accepts members from anywhere. Because I’m annoyed and also SMH, I’ll break down the OKM swimmers and tell you when they joined the team (all info public on mynvsl.com: 15-18 Girls: #1 in NVSL, 50 Free, on OKM team since age 7; #11 in in 50 Free, on OKM team since age 6; #89 in 50 Free, on OKM team since age 10 #1 in NVSL, 50 Back, on OKM team since age 6; #65 in 50 Back, on OKM team since age 13* and never swam on any other noVA summer team #1 in NVSL, 50 Fly, on OKM team since age 6; #28 in 50 Fly, on OKM team since age 12* #37 in NVSL, 50 Breast, on OKM since age 5 13-14 Girls: #3 in NVSL, 50 Free, on OKM since age 7; #25 in 50 Free, on OKM since age 6; #32 in 50 Free, on OKM since age 6 #3 in NVSL, 50 Back, on OKM since age 6; #19 in 50 Back, on OKM since age 7 #11 in NVSL, 50 Breast, on OKM since age 7 #1 in NVSL, 50 Fly, on OKM since age 7; #6 in 50 Fly, on OKM since age 6 11-12 Girls: #1 in NVSL, 50 Free, on OKM since age 6; #27 in 50 Free, on OKM since age 7; #29 in 50 Free, on OKM since age 8 #3 in NVSL, 50 Back, on OKM since age 6; #7 in 50 Back, on NVSL since age 8; #36 in 50 Back, on OKM since age 8; #48 in 50 Back, on OKM since age 8 #15 in NVSL, 50 Breast, on OKM since age 8 #2 in NVSL, 50 Fly, on OKM since age 6; #25 in 50 Fly, on OKM since age 10*; #26 in 50 Fly, on OKM since age 10; #37 in 50 Fly, at OKM since age 7; #59 in 50 Fly, on OKM since age 8 9-10 Girls: #3 in NVSL, 50 Free, on OKM since age 7; #10 in 50 Free, on OKM since age 7* #2 in NVSL, 50 Back, on OKM since age 7; #7 in 50 Back, on OKM since age 7*; #12 in 50 Back, on OKM since age 8 #2 in NVSL, 50 Breast, on OKM since age 7; #3 in 50 Breast, on OKM since age 8; #48 in 50 Breast, on OKM since age 8 #1 in NVSL, 25 Fly, on OKM since age 7; #4 in 25 Fly, on OKM since age 7*; #40 in 25 Fly, on OKM since age 8; (3 more in top 100, on OKM since age 7) *military and/or moved from outside NoVA
An absolute perfect response reiterating this forum's subject link: 'Summer Swim Brings Out the Crazy'
Seriously PP get a hobby. You seem a bit obsessed.
I can easily put this together for Overlee, Tuckahoe, Chesterbrook, etc to refute every single claim of recruitment. (I’m not even an OKM member.) The “recruiting” byline is so tired, and the gaslighting of “PP you’re crazy, you’re obsessed, get a hobby” is your only retort when someone (quickly and easily) refutes your BS claims with data. Our team, which is in D2, also receives its fair share of “you’re recruiting” allegations. And I compile the same data to show otherwise. So I’ll gaslight you right back: Alleging that a faster, better team has to recruit to be faster and better, and pairing that with BS allegations of other bad team rep, parental, or coach behavior, shows your own immaturity. Just because these teams do summer swim better than your team does not mean they are recruiting (which, BTW, is not per se unethical when a pool is trying to gain new members), does not mean the kids aren’t having fun, and does not mean the other team has a bunch of a$$holes as reps, coaches, and parents. YOU need to get a life and stop deflecting your own inadequacies by claiming recruitment and dishonesty by other teams.
If you're not even an OKM member how do you know about the military or moved in kids? LOL with the asterisk but you don't go to OKM
We swim club with most of these kids. So ha ha right back at ya!
This really isn’t that hard to understand. The kids in D1 and D2 are largely divided between maybe five club teams: the McLean teams are at York, NCAP-Tyson’s, and Machine, while the kids in the Fairfax, Fairfax Station, Burke, Springfield, Annandale area are at Makos and NCAP-Burke, with a smattering at St James/Sea Devils/Machine AM. It is no surprise they swim together in clumps across the summer league teams. And given the level of swimmers involved in this ridiculous argument that all began with unfounded (and unfounded and unfounded and unfounded) claims of poaching and recruiting, it is not surprising that these families interact a lot during club season. So, yeah, I believe the data digger easily put together the details set out above. It’s super easy to do, and they likely know these kids’ families pretty well if they swim at the same club (Makos maybe? Lots of D2/D1/D3 crossovers with Makos.)
