I suppose it depends on your definition of exclusivity. The membership application process for each is fairly similar -- as long as you know more than a handful of members, interview well and you're not an asshat you'll be fine. I would argue that being able to afford a $130k initiation fee puts you in a more rarified air than $80k. Maybe that's why the Chevy people claim it's more exclusive? Because if it really was that exclusive with people just dying to get in, you think they could raise their initiation fee -- supply / demand kind of thinking. The one thing Chevy has going for it is the hockey rink.

In either case, I'd worry less about the prestige and which club is a better fit for you/your family. Where do your friends belong? What sort of activities are you into? You financial situation -- that will determine in large part which club is right.[/quote]
