[/quote] She is not held against her will... Sort of. She is certainly not in chains and in fact easily escapes the first time she ever attempts escape. There is more to their relationship than hair. The kidnapper appears to Rapunzel as an overly protective mother but no worse than that until the very end.[/quote]
