As for hate crimes. Personally I think they are unconstitutional. Why? You are prosecuting belief and even reasoning. Just prosecute the damn crime.

NP. How would that come up? After looking into the issue, from what I understand, the evangelical bakers aren't going "My gaydar tells me you like men, so I refuse to bake this My Little Pony cake you're requesting for your niece's seventh birthday party," but rather, "I will not bake a cake for your marriage to another man."

I am the PP you mentioned.  Don't get me wrong, I would think the baker was a straight up backwards loser for being so opposed to gay people.  That's exactly why I wouldnt want them to bake my cake.  I have no interest in having a backwards loser any part of my happy day [/quote]
