But if you are coming from out of state, you may as well be at what is still an excellent public university in a beautiful location. I don't necessarily believe that SB really hurts job prospects, unless you don't study. It would still set anyone up well for graduate school. I guess the downside would be fewer internship opportunities in SB, but the same would be true of Davis unless you had a car and could get into Sacramento for policy/political internships. I think the order is Berkeley, UCLA and then SD. But if you are doing science you may want to choose SD over UCLA. After that, Davis, Irvine and SB are all great options that each offers something a little different for each student.[/quote]
