The mom is Jewish, the kids (plural) is Jewish, and the dad is of an indeterminate religious standing (perhaps he identifies and Christian perhaps he does not - OP doesn't say). He is raising his children to be Jewish. The family is Jewish. The inlaws do not get any say in this, regardless of their own religious beliefs. [/quote]
