It's fantasy land. The whole show is about ... fantasy land. Loralai tried to escape one fantasy land and landed in another - Rory embraces her grands and lives in both fantasy worlds! It's all kinda poking fun at fantasy land, i think. I always wished it would get a little more, ironic or self-conscious, actually. Occasionally it did break the 4th wall - like with kirk, and with the busker. I wanted more of that and less playing it straight. Like I wanted them to acknowledge [b]Rory's outrageous wardrobe. Maybe I just haven't gotten there yet (still in season 2), but so far, Rory's wardrobe is hideous.  Does she become a fashionista at some point?  So, so dowdy right now.  [/quote]
