NP here. A ban is a ban. Doesn't matter whether it is for an undefined period of time. Policies are usually for a period of time. It is still bigoted. Refugees already go through very rigorous screening befor being allowed to come to the US. Admittedly he may not know this. But the. He should not say anything without becoming informed.

So after the terrorist attack in California you want no changes to our immigration policy? We should just let known radical Wahhabist into this country? This is what trump was talking about. Admittedly you should known that those people were screened, but our screening failed to show any problems. So Trump talked about stopping immigration for Muslim after California attack and after the Paris attack. He wants a stop till the system is fixed. Most normal people thought that would mean no immigration from countries like Saudi Arabia, Syria, etc until the system for screening worked. It is at best disingenuous and a lie to say he wants a permanent ban on Muslims. He wants the system fix. I guess that is unlike you? I really question what your solution is to the problem which resulted in the deaths of Americans who were replying on the U.S. to screen and identify these type of people. Calling people a bigot is a good start, but does little to address the problem. [/quote]
