You should read a book on emotional abuse.  Like one of Patricia Evans's books.  I can give you lots of examples of what real emotional abuse is, some of which almost resulted in my death due to denial of medical care in emergencies.  Sorry, but cheating isn't the same in my book.  It MAY also confirm the spouse is a narcissistic or borderline personality disordered pig, and it MAY also be accompanied by emotional abuse, but by itself, with nothing more - especially in a case where there was no intimacy in the marriage - it would all depend on why.  My H and I had an active intimate life (during which he also degraded me with his words and actions).  My H never cheated.  He just almost killed me more than once without laying a hand on me, that's all.  We are currently separated.  Best. Decision. Ever.[/quote]
