Ledo's is definitely a unique pizza not in the NY style.  Comparing Ledo's pizza to NY is like comparing apples and oranges.  Some people do not like Ledo's style, but I personally love it and enough in the DC area loved it that it seems to have franchised successfully.  I agree the original location is the best and that includes after the move to College Park.  I'm partial to the parmesan bread appetizer that is only served at the "original" location.  For all you NY style pizza lovers, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Three Brothers, which is also a Maryland (PG County mostly) franchise.  I like the Greenbelt location (Beltway Plaza) because of the raw bar, beer, and excellent pizza.  Both Sicilian and Neopolitan are offered and delicious.  I also LOVE their Calzones immensely!  Many others love the Italian Boats and their salads are superb.

I love both Ledo's and Three Brothers, and would have to say that my favorite dish from all of these is the Pepperoni Calzone from Three Brothers, smothered in their great marinara sauce, sprinkled liberally with oregano, garlic powder, dried red peppers, and parmesan...mmmmm!!![/quote]
