I answered this earlier in the thread, but yes, all dancers have stripper names. It is an issue of safety. No one at work knows my real name (save for the hiring manager - you put your real name on the application, of course).[/quote]

OK, I will explain. Here is a common thing that happens on the name threads for baby girls on the DCUM Expectant Mother forum.

OP: I am considering these names: Brianna, Amberley, Willa.
Response #1: Those are stripper names.
Response #2: Anybody named Brianna, Amberley, or Willa is going to grow up to dance around a pole.

That's what I mean by "stripper name".

Here are some examples of non-"stripper names": Caroline, Anne (with an e), Elizabeth, Mary, Jane; basically, names the English royal family would use.[/quote]
