[/quote] HUH? I don't get the idea of telling someone "that's not how we talk about people", "that's not what we say about people" is shaming a kid. ESPECIALLY, when all along I, and other posters, have said it is part of an ongoing dialogue and education. That just seems very off to me. I tell my kids all sorts of stuff that we do not do, and teach them what and how to do the right thing. There is no shame involved. Where in the world did the shame come in?[/quote]
