I disagree.  If you're out and not wearing a ring (or its concealed) and a guy approaches you, its on you to let him know you're not available.  OP is so skittish he wants to avoid the coffee shop for a month.  Now you want him to be even more tentative?

The husband absolutely doesn't deserve an apology. Honestly he sounds like an abuser. It's not like you tried to tongue kiss her in the Starbucks. You smiled at her and had a conversation. Rather than apologize to hubby, you should have offered her a ride to the domestic violence shelter. [/quote]
