Do you have ANY suggestions for OP's wife or are you putting the entire solution on him. If she isn't motivated to do the work, then nothing is going to happen. It's very telling that you seem to blame OP for everything. Are you in the same situation as his DW? Seems like it. [/quote]

Did you ever stop to think that maybe it's not a negotiation tactic- maybe people suggest that because genuinely, it's hard to schedule time for sex or the gym when you feel inundated with all the stuff you have to do around the house?  The stuff guys never really seem to think about, and just trust their wives to handle? [/quote]
