Last year, APS sent a handful of kids to various Ivies. Interestingly, though, I think only a couple of them were from Yorktown. More kids went Ivy from Washington-Lee, HB Woodlawn or Wakefield than from Yorktown. (we're boundaried for Yorktown, so I found this a little odd, given how much luv Yorktown gets from Arlington parents.)
I think you're quoting stale information from the Class of 2013 in Arlington Magazine. Not sure if that was the case for the Class of 2014, and Yorktown had many more NMSFs in the Class of 2015 than W-L or Wakefield (the latter of which had none). I'd bet some of those APS kids are Ivy-bound but, as previously noted, few of the NMSFs from Arlington schools in the Class of 2015 have Asian surnames, whereas a majority of those from FCPS do.
