Also if you look at similar SES areas in Arlington and Fairfax there are many more Asians in Fairfax. Yorktown is only 8% Asian, but Langley, McLean and Marshall are 17-21% Asian.

We're an Asian family that's living in the northern part of Arlington. Our neighbors are all lovely people but we don't necessarily hang out with them. And no, I haven't seen any Asians in the houses around our block.

My boy is in elementary school and I do believe he's the only Asian in his class. There's 1 hispanic and 1 Indian aside from my son who might be considered the minorities in class. Otherwise, everyone else is white. We're from the West Coast so it was a little odd seeing how un-diverse the class was. Wasn't a major concern...just not what we're used to.

My son comes home happy 99% of the days since school started. He has always played with only a handful of kids vs everyone and anyone so I did have my concerns when he started and if he would adjust. He's still a fairly shy/quiet kid in school but I know he's learning a lot and enjoys it.

I picked our neighborhood as it's relatively safe and fairly convenient to work. So I'd say prioritize what's best for you.

truth of the matter is I am one of many very high income earning south asians living in north arlington becuae (i) I choose APS school over FFX schools any day of the week an twice on Sundays and (ii) I love not living to bigoted idiots like yourself.

Give yourself a cookie, but it doesn't change the fact that Asian families prefer FCPS over APS, even when you control for HHI.
