Which explains why students from APS go to the Ivy League in large numbers. For example, my sister who went to Brown and me at Penn...

There are two elementaries in western Fairfax that together have more Asian kids than all of Arlington's 22 elementaries combined. There are also two middle schools in FCPS that each have more Asian students than all the Arlington middle schools combined, and TJHSST alone has almost twice as many Asian students as all the Arlington high schools combined.
Those are also much lower HHI areas of FFX
Are you joking? The Carson and Rocky Run MS areas are not low HHI areas. They do have great AAP programs, however, and much stronger track records of getting kids into TJ than any Arlington schools, so they appeal to many Asian families.
The HHIs are much lower in that part of FFX than N Arlington...www.census.gov
And don't be racist. Not all Asians becomes tech nerds. Many become Law Partners and Investment Bankers too.
You must not know Oakton or Chantilly very well.
Again, the evidence is very clear successful Asians prefer Fairfax schools to any part of Arlington.
No the evidence is that Asians prefer western Fairfax and annandale. They generally do not live in Chevy Chase, NWDC or N Arlington because they feel they are not getting moneys worth to be in elite locations.
Trust me the Asian percentage in Fairfax well exceeds Chevy Chase or Ward 3 ...
Also if you look at similar SES areas in Arlington and Fairfax there are many more Asians in Fairfax. Yorktown is only 8% Asian, but Langley, McLean and Marshall are 17-21% Asian.

I think you're quoting stale information from the Class of 2013 in Arlington Magazine. Not sure if that was the case for the Class of 2014, and Yorktown had many more NMSFs in the Class of 2015 than W-L or Wakefield (the latter of which had none).
I'd bet some of those APS kids are Ivy-bound but, as previously noted, few of the NMSFs from Arlington schools in the Class of 2015 have Asian surnames, whereas a majority of those from FCPS do.

Interestingly, though, I think only a couple of them were from Yorktown. More kids went Ivy from Washington-Lee, HB Woodlawn or Wakefield than from Yorktown.
(we're boundaried for Yorktown, so I found this a little odd, given how much luv Yorktown gets from Arlington parents.)

truth of the matter is I am one of many very high income earning south asians living in north arlington becuae (i) I choose APS school over FFX schools any day of the week an twice on Sundays and (ii) I love not living to bigoted idiots like yourself.
Give yourself a cookie, but it doesn't change the fact that Asian families prefer FCPS over APS, even when you control for HHI.
