UVA, UNC, Michigan, Williams, Notre Dame, Northwestern
One of these is not like the others. What are you, some kind of Amherst troll?
Agree. Troll. Williams is a potted Ivy, almost as hard to get into as the Big Boys. No way is it ranked with the schools you listed. Equal to Notre Dame? Really.
Certainly not in football... Or spirit.
I have no dog in this fight, but Williams is head and shoulders above Notre Dame.
In what?
I think the Pope would disagree, and he's usually infallible.
Ok I am falling for it....please tell me that these comments on Williams v. ND ...it is joke isn't it????
In all seriosity, as GW Bush might say, ND and Williams are very different places. Sure, Williams has become a very selective small liberal arts college. It offers an experience that may be harder to find at larger Notre Dame. ND, which has become hard to get into, offers may experiences that are lacking at Williams -- a lot more than just football. I doubt very seriously that there is much application overlap with the schools. Most students who are set on Williams probably wouldn't be interested in ND and vice versa.
