I don't think anyone has stated that RP is an amazing school, just that's it's not horrible like some people are making it out to be.  Like a PP stated, every school has issues, and there are some schools that might be better than RP and others that are worse.

RP is very diverse, both racially and SES. I like that about it.  It's over crowded - I hate this about it.  Most of the teachers so far that we've experienced have been great; they are not perfect, but they saw the potential in my kids and kept pushing them up. Maybe some of it was enrichment at home, but the teachers still saw the potential and challenged them instead of dumbing them down.  For now, that's all I can ask for in the teachers.  Plus, this year, both my DCs absolutely love their teachers - so this helps.  I don't know what's going to happen next year.  Maybe DCs will hate it. We'll see.[/quote]
