We got this too. Done for their church directory. They ordered the 11x13 frame with an individual head shot of each of them and one of the two of them together. It even has "Olan Mills" stamped in the corners.

I hate the thing. I glare at it whenever I walk by it. It was also our Christmas gift. A framed photo of yourself is never really a gift to another person, sorry. The same year, we also got a framed wedding portrait of BIL/SIL. I don't even have our own wedding photo hung in the house, wtf would I hang one of BIL/SIL?

We don't have anything else like this in our house. And already had plenty of non-posed non Olan Mills photos on our photo wall before this arrived of his parents. Way more than of my family already. It looks so out of place and disrupts the balance of our more candid wall of family photos. [/quote]
