The way DC's restaurant scene works, there are one or two brand new restaurants a year that are in fact serving the best food in the city. Then they fade into irrelevance and a new group crops up. Mintwood Place probably really [i]was[/i] the best restaurant in DC earlier this year. The fact that it will probably be on nobody's top 10 list in three years is another story. There are cities that have restaurants that are consistently good over a period of years or even decades. D.C. is not one of them.[/quote]
