There’s much less internal conflict if its not Evan. The story dropped the breadcrumbs along the way and it should pay off like it was set up. I don’t need a surprise for the sake of being surprised.[/quote]

Some things not fully clear to me: his mom was pregnant on the boat...so was he born on the island or not? If not, how is he bound by the curse of death if he leaves? Also: if Matthew Rhys didn't believe in superstitions or know much about them until this recent wave of events, why would he not have taken Evan to the mainland yet, since he said he himself had been to the mainland several times?[/quote]
