Calm down.  Nobody is talking about throwing poop that is not contained in a bag anywhere.  How the hell would you get it into the can?  Do you think people are picking it up with their bare hands and flinging it?

If our can is on the curb and hasn't been picked up yet, I really don't care if you throw your poop bag, candy wrapper, whatever into it.  Why on earth would I?[/quote]

Because at least in our neighborhood, the garbage men don't dump the cans - they reach in and grab the large garbage bags and toss them into the truck.  When that happens, the poop bag falls to the bottom.  Best case scenario, I have to get it out of there myself.  Worst case, I don't see it, or it breaks, and I have poop smeared all over the inside of the can.  [/quote]
