Yeah, that happened to us all the time as well.  I finally put some stickers on the cans which somewhat deters people.  I also confronted one of our neighbors that was doing it and he said there were public no trash cans to/from his walk, which is not at all true.  [/quote]

I have asked myself this so many times but a crazy number of people who willingly adopted dogs seem to think this is just an impossible task. My favorite is the people who don't want to carry the poop around so they just set the little bad on the ground under a tree or something to get "later." Sometimes they get it later, sometimes they don't. Either way these little bags of $hit just lie around on the ground. It's revolting.
