You need to look up the definition of the word mutilation.  While it is somewhat emotive language, and I guess that's what you object to, there is no doubt that cutting off a part of a baby's body for cosmetic or cultural reasons is mutilation.  So are tattoos and so are ear piercings, and so it amputating a limb, or foot binding in China in the past.[/quote]
