Outside of volunteering or an occasional play date, parents have little to no interaction with my kid. Their personal attributes are really of no concern to me. I clock the influence that my kid’s peers, school administrators and staff have on my kid because they spend a ton of time with my child. But at the beginning and end of the day, guess who gets my prioritized focus and utmost attention?
That simply is not correct. The parents of your kid's best friends have a pretty strong influence on your kid. The family community in general will influence the kids and the culture of the school.
This!!! For example, your family is against hunting morally or ethically for example but your child’s best friends famiky are big hunters - like multiple trips per year - killing animals and posting pics etc… Your kid gets invited to go on a trip with the family and another bff. Kid is begging got go because they don’t want to be left out. What do you do? Say this sort of thing - conflict of moral interests is a weekly event?
