No the hell they don’t, I bind it and rebuke it in the name of Jesus!Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Outside of volunteering or an occasional play date, parents have little to no interaction with my kid. Their personal attributes are really of no concern to me. I clock the influence that my kid’s peers, school administrators and staff have on my kid because they spend a ton of time with my child. But at the beginning and end of the day, guess who gets my prioritized focus and utmost attention?
That simply is not correct. The parents of your kid's best friends have a pretty strong influence on your kid. The family community in general will influence the kids and the culture of the school.

I will say this, though. To me, the weirdest part about private schools is that parents matter. In public schools, we don't give a shit about the parents. It's a school, not a country club.
What do you mean by "parents matter"? One of the huge differences I see with my private school is parents can drop their kids off and there is no advocating, getting in front of the teacher, etc needed. We volunteer for our own socialization and not to give our kids a leg up because it's in the best interest of the school to meet the needs of all their students and for them to do well. Not true of public.
