Who cares if he knew the screening age if he still got one at what turned out to be the recommended screening age? People have changes in bowel habits for myriad reasons. I hope you don’t suggest that one go running to the doctor or for a colonoscopy as the first step every time? In addition to being impractical on a personal level, it’s impractical on a system level.[/quote] Sorry to say but I had rectal blessing at 30. My GI sent me straight to a colonoscopy and he saved my life because of it. It was a polyp but he asked me to come back 5 years later and I did. On that colonoscopy they found a very tiny tumor in very early stages. I’m so glad I listened to my doctor and took him seriously. My second colonoscopy that found the tumor was when I had no symptoms.[/quote]
