Socialism is more Scandinavian social safety nets, progressive taxation, and high infrastructure spending. Communism is ownership of the means of production. Otherwise, what be the difference between the two?[/quote]

DP and I'm sure there are lots of great philosophical points about the real meaning of socialism and communism. But for DC politics it's none of that. Janeese is for the people, not political cronies, and gets flak as communist/socialist/whatever because of that.

She cares and is willing to fight for individuals and that scares some people here.[/quote]
