I can just see how a neurodivergent person might think that if they have seen people gift (new) water bottles before, and seen people give away used stuff they no longer use to friends, that in their mind they may think it is appropriate to give a used water bottle as a birthday present, losing the social nuance that birthday gifts are supposed to be clean and unused.[/quote]
