The currently agreed upon and recommended law enforcement response is to immediately and aggressively hunt and neutralize the threat. Where do you think they learned this technique? They are textbook military Close Quarters Battle(CQB) tactics. They quickly form an entry team, systematically search and clear rooms while working towards the threat, bypassing the injured until the shooter is down. Your run of the mill patrol officer isn’t “militarized.” In NYC police officers don’t even have rifles in their police cars. [/quote]
