UVA DID NOT SIGN THE COMPACT.  IT DID NOT BOW TO ANYONE.  On a separate series of investigations into accusations of discrimination - in violation of the Supreme Court 2023 Fair Students Case - the DOJ agreed to PAUSE its investigation while UVA sorted out the DEI-related problems with discrimination in hiring and in admissions.
