I loathe the way MAGA wraps itself in Christianity---it makes me sad and ashamed as a Christian. They are modern-day Pharisees and we know what Christ thought about THEM.
Politicians just know they’re easy to manipulate when they spin everything as religion. Too many Christians don’t realize they’re being used by conmen. Most religions don’t exactly teach people to question authority or think critically. Jesuits and Episcopalians are exceptions.
Jesuits teach the same as most others Catholic Orders, such as Holy Cross, Benedictines, La Sallian, Christian Brothers, Franciscans, Cistercians, Little Sisters of the Poor, Sisters of Mercy, etc. My Catholic schools and my kids' Catholic schools were not Jesuit, but absolutely taught critical thinking, questioning authority, examining the basis of your faith, following your conscience. The Jesuits are not alone.
