There are lots of great places to eat in DC with American food that OP hasn’t been to, and probably overlooks, possibly deliberately. Ruff N Ready serves American food. The Hitching Post is an American restaurant. Horace and Dickie’s is an American restaurant. Supreme Barbecue is an American restaurant.
