This is kinda a follow up to the other posts about protein. DD is 13. Breakfast was 2 eggs on naan bread with cheese 24g protein Lunch ramen with veggies (corn/carrots/edamame) 14g protein Mango smoothie just now with greek yogurt, mango, almond milk, chia seeds. 16g protein That’s 54g already today and hasn’t had dinner yet.
This is so much dairy.
   So many almond moms on here. My two teen boys go through a gallon of milk a day. Sometimes more. In addition to cheese, yogurt....
The dairy conversation is weird because it’s so ethnically dependent. My husband and I are both half Irish and grew up drinking like 32 ounces of milk a day until we were in our 20s. We still drink probably a glass a day of milk as 50 year olds. But I have friends who are Asian who never drink milk and friends who are Jewish who are very lactose intolerant. A half galon a day is a lot thought even for a teen athlete as that js 8 glasses of milk a day — at that level it interferes with iron absorption and even a supper lactose friendly person has trouble digesting that much lactose that quickly. You’re saying they drink more than 64 ounces of milk a day., in addition to other forms of dairy. That’s really a lot, and I’m the most pro-dairy person I’ve ever met.
Not if you drink raw milk.
