They should.  Someone needs to organize the Dems on messaging.  Punchy, short, to-the-point messaging.  The Republicans all repeat theirs.  Dems on the other hand are all over the map with no consistent or coherent messaging.  Anyone who knows anyone at all in Dem politics should be listening to me on this. It's one of their BIGGEST liabilities right now.   Republicans eat their lunch on messaging.[/quote]

For starters:
We stand strong against illegal immigration.
We stand strong against crime and believe in prison time for violent crimes.
We stand strong for all children and will do what's needed to ensure they receive the education and support they need in well run schools with teachers who are dedicated to their profession.[/quote]

-how about non-violent crimes? So the guy who broke into my car to steal my property gets off free?

These are horrible messages because swing voters (I am one) know they aren’t true.

No, it's not. Dems need to appeal to the middle and independents. Abortion is now a state issue and Trump's personality has been obvious for years.

Kitchen table issues. Fiscal responsibility. Reasonable compromise with Republicans. Bill Clinton was highly successful with these things. Unfortunately, Dems don't have anyone like him right now, and even if they did, the progressive wing wouldn't want that person.

Dems seem to want a fighter, but that is exactly the wrong personality against someone like Trump. A calm, rational candidate (but still interesting to voters) is needed.

Career politicians aren't the answer. This might explain why there are puff pieces about Mark Cuban in the news recently. [/quote]
