This is really cool..I like how he still lives In a normal suburban house in Omaha and he talks to everyone like a regular person.

This was right after Footloose, so he was a crazy big movie star. Really genuine guy.

I knew someone who knew his mom. They sounded like a nice family.

Simone Biles is ridiculously normal. She was sweet and kind in a way that makes you wonder if she even realizes she's one of the greatest athletes ever.

This is really cool to hear. A couple of years ago there was a story about a man from Iowa who died, and Charles Barkley was at the funeral. It turned out that the two met at a hotel bar in California and became friends. They would meet up when they had business in the same city. The man had told his family and friends that Barkley was a good friend, but they thought he was exagerrating. They realized it was true when he was at the guy's funeral.

Barkley is the nicest ever. bar none, seriously. That guy is so down to earth, no airs and just a good person. I've had a number of friends who randomly found themselves meeting him and told me stories about him - consistently same MO of being a real person.

My nephew met Barkley at a bar. Down to earth and personable.

Trivia. My dad knew him growing up in Cleveland. Newman's cousin lived two doors down and used to visit. But of course back then it was just kids playing.

DH met Muhammad Ali on a flight. He was very nice and actually drew a picture on a napkin and signed it.

Marty Stuart. I inadvertently parked shitty thereby blocking all access to his Escalade in a Nashville parking lot.

-he- apologized to me as I idiotically attempted to slooooowly back out and repark (and back out and repark) my car between the lines without ripping off his side mirrors. Just stood there behind his SUV, patiently, and wished me a good afternoon

This. I arrived early to a celebrity event and ignored as should have been case bc was not part of that world. When my “date” arrived and people saw who I was with, suddenly everyone wanted to say hello and meet me in hopes would get them some pull for their next job. It’s a definitely a tough business when have to network for jobs so often if haven’t landed that rare 10 season tv show.

Honestly, DC is culturally similar, if less glamorous.

I met baseball legend Willie Mays when I was a kid. He was very nice.

I believe this. He took care of his wife who had Alzheimer's for a long time. That's says a lot about him.

I'm the PP. It was definitely jarring the first few times when people would quite literally stop talking to me once they knew I wasn't anyone. Kourtney and Kendall Kardashian were actually really nice, especially Kendall. Their sisters? Definitely the type who wanted nothing to do with you if you couldn't do anything for them.

Too bad we weren’t at same party at same time! I will say I was asked after the event who had been nice to me and I instead talked about who I observed being nice to waitstaff and the help when people didn’t think they were being watched as they was more genuine as you said.

My grandmother was on a train seated next to Billie Burke (Good Witch in the original Wizard of Oz movie). She was apparently very nice & signed a post card that I still have.

FIL worked at a school where the Rolling Stones were rehearsing, rural CT in the mid-1980s. He was there setting up his room over the summer ... They invited him into the rehearsal space, signed autographs, said to help himself to the food and drinks etc.

Best friend grew up with Conan O'Brien - his whole family is very normal and nice, or at least was.

I've consistently heard great things about Snoop for well over a decade.
