I don’t think the average person in a normal marriage is analogous here. Powerful/wealthy people are fairly isolated in terms of friendships and relationships. They can speak freely with very very few people. I can understand having a trusted person from your past that you continue to confide in. The average person doesn’t need the same outlet since we have friends we can confide in regularly and in a normal way.[/quote]
