I think you are confusing REA/SCEA with ED. One signs the contract for ED. I've never heard of a public or private school requiring a contract for SCEA. If OP is talking about ED, then continuing to apply to other schools is a dick move.[/quote]

I am definitely not confusing REA/SCEA with ED. I just went through this process and am very familiar with it. And one of the reasons I mention the policy of our private school -- one most people on this board would know -- is to underline that in fact some schools have a policy that forbids students accepted early to HYPSM from applying elsewhere in RD. If this is Harvard-Westlake, I believe early HYPS early admits *are* allowed to apply to more schools in RD, just not any other HYPS schools. Schools like MIT and Caltech appear to be exempt from this policy.[/quote]
