I just went through this process and am very familiar with it. And one of the reasons I mention the policy of our private school -- one most people on this board would know -- is to underline that in fact some schools have a policy that forbids students accepted early to HYPSM from applying elsewhere in RD. [/quote] If this is Harvard-Westlake, I believe early HYPS early admits *are* allowed to apply to more schools in RD, just not any other HYPS schools. Schools like MIT and Caltech appear to be exempt from this policy.[/quote]
