Lunch with my brother and nephew (my sister's son) today. My brother said he voted for Trump because there was no other choice. I reminded him there were at least two parties on the ballot, although he did say people he talked to said she didn't seem to know anything or have any plans. I was pitching for her and also realize the situation was a bad deal for her (I don't know who she would have been as a candidate in a different situation, but I do think she had a lot of strengths in her background) but I do realize "nothing comes to mind" was a very very bad campaign line. None of this excuses the electorate as a whole, though.
Np. It kills me how “nothing comes to mind” was the most controversial thing she said on the campaign trail. Trump said and did so many outrageous things and none got more attention than this. It’s not an easy question to answer in that situation. Any answer would have been used against her and him.
