[/quote] The discrepancy from the norm is not how bad gold is for a 3rd team in the DMV but rather how good white is for a 2nd team in the area. My educated guess is that white is better than you’d typically expect in part because the 1st team (green) is extremely good and so kids who might normally make that team are instead playing on the 2nd team and in part because the white team left en masse a couple years ago due to a parent revolt led by a crazy dad and that probably cleared out a lot of dead wood that might otherwise still be playing on the 2nd team because clubs have a hard time demoting 2nd team players.
