It depends. We have mostly upper middle class, muslim immigrant professional couples in 50's with college age or grown kids in our circle. In my opinion, it can't be more than 5% and this is a generous estimate from a highly skeptical person. I'm sure most people have had crushes but its very rare for someone to act upon it. Most genuinely see infidelity as a religious sin and a character flaw.
Married Muslim men are often inappropriate to women - in my experience as a non Muslim single white woman. I don’t believe 5% would be unfaithful, more like 80%. Hitting on women, staring and making sexual comments is cheating if not a precursor to infidelity. Married Muslim men are prolific cheaters.
I am a married Muslim man and I agree that we are not immune to cheating. Being Muslim doesn't make me more faithful. I am sure a man who intends to cheat whether Christian, Muslim or atheist is going to do so regardless. If somehow Muslim men were more likely to be faithful women will be rushing to marry them because for a lot of women the fear of being cheated on is real.
Men should worry about that too. They shouldn't use their faithful mothers to project that women today are faithful as well. Nope. In fact the married of today cheat as much as men. But go further in the sense they eloquently and with confidence explain and justify their cheating. Just read the posts on this forum for proof.
