I do think people at Starbucks appreciate with people use the app because if a bunch of people come in to order, that will tie someone up at the register for several minutes during a busy time when it would be helpful to have someone else helping with orders. Like if it's dead in there it's no big deal to take an order at the register because they aren't busily trying to get a bunch of orders ready. But during peak hours, using the app saves them time so they can expedite drinks and food and get through the rush easier. You can also easily tip on the app. But just because you are using the app doesn't mean you can't be friendly or interact with people. You are just sparing them the tedium of punching in the items on a screen and then processing your payment.[/quote]
